let me tell you mine..

I'm Bethany, a wife and mother of two with Texas roots living in Ohio. I have a doctorate in Theatre Arts and have spent my younger years teaching and creating. I put my career, but not my creativity, on hold when my children were born. Now that they are older, I'm back, full-force, rust scraped off, camera in hand. I am excited to meet you and beautifully capture your special moments.

Catching Joy


As a mother and a wife, I've learned how fast life changes. My children were once small and needing me, always. Now they are teenagers and every-day speeds past faster than I can grasp it. I'm grateful that I captured so many joyful, and sometimes tearful, moments in photography. It is my passion to save those memories for you, as well.

My family

I practice all of my sessions on my family, first. They are amazingly patient so that you won't have to be.

My husband hikes the trails with me, my two children do light checks in parks when I'm scouting locations.  They let me experiment so that I can give you the best possible experience during your session.

Combining Styles


My grandfather was a studio photographer in the 1920s and, while his professional studio work was lovely, I've always been drawn to his outdoor, in-the-moment shots.  I take inspiration from the personality of his images, and I'm drawn to the living moments he managed to capture.  With each session, I am fully and completely focused on balancing both posed and natural moments for you... a hundred years later.
